the freedom of the construction of one's self is a natural birthright. to make any proposition of claim to innovation in any artform you have to do something which only you could possibility have done

you either do something in life that leaves a legacy or you don't. there are certain things that you can neither buy nor run for. like moral authority; you can run for president, for taoiseach, whatever. In corrupt societies they can and have been bought; but you can't run for moral authority and neither can you buy a legacy.
